The following was posted on my Facebook timeline by the Save the Contra Costa County Shelter Dogs: VERY URGENT, SCHEDULED FOR EUTH ON TUESDAY morning, July 18 – 2 yr old pittie mix JUDE #A890172 needs his luck to change fast if he is to make it out of CCAS alive. He came into the shelter after a fight with another dog that left him with injuries to his head and front legs. Then he came down with a bad case of kennel cough. And now he is offline and headed for euth on Tuesday unless a rescue/foster miracle somehow happens for him before then! His temp test notes are say he is “pushy and challenging” but volunteers only saw a friendly playful dog when they worked with him today as his video shows – https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vlVS3iEwE5c&feature=youtu.be .JUDE deserves a loving home with the training and support all young dogs need but he will not make it without rescue/foster ASAP. If you think you could save this boy’s life by fostering or fostering to adopt him, please contact a local rescue group ASAP or comment here so we can connect you with one. Rescues – JUDE should be eligible for CCAS bridge funds to assist with any extra medical care so please comment here or PM us if you’re considering him in addition to contacting the CCAS rescue coordinator directly at firstname.lastname@example.org – we may be able to help. JUDE is at the Martinez shelter at 4800 Imhoff Place, hoping someone will give him the “helping paw” he has missed out on so far. Further info available at 925-608-8400 or 925-608-8430. I’ve always been more of a homebody. I could read, watch movies, do things online, etc for hours. Part of me staying in is due to health issues. Though, I’ve been more active lately than I have been in some time. Right now my husband & I live in a studio. Seeking a bigger place. We have one kitty & look forward to fostering & adopting more. Also, getting a dog. Click, I Love Dogs, to learn which breeds are good for those who like to hangout at home more. These include, English Bulldogs, Basset Hounds & Pugs.
These two smart, sweet & beautiful girls are at the shelter where I volunteer. Princess is the black one & Sansa is the black & grey striped. Both are a bit fluffy. Six months or so in age. They are siblings who have a special bond & really need to be adopted together. At first, they may seem a bit hesitant & shy. No doubt a big part of that is their current accommodations. Honestly, I’d probably be a bit sullen too, if, I was stuck in a little cage.
Even if they are more on the reserved side, I know from experience with them & similar cats, that they are affectionate, playful & make wonderful companions. If you’re willing to make the time & give them patience & understanding (which one should do with all animals anyway), they will blossom under your care & it will be very rewarding for the three of you.
They both like to chase the balls with bells in them, bat at the kitty wands, enjoy kitty treats & to have head pets & scratches. They also look so cute cuddled up next to each other. One of the reasons they really need to be adopted together. If you or someone you know is able to do that or even foster, please visit the shelter or contact them here: Ukiah Animal Shelter, which is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm with Wednesdays open late until 7pm. The address is 298 Plant Road Ukiah, CA. (707) 463-4427
Hi, everyone. I already mentioned this in the post on, What This Blog is About. I wanted to reiterate it here. Even if you’re not from the area that the lost/found animal is or ones who are needing fostering/adopting, it’s still appreciated that you reblog & share. Because your readers, family, friends, the community at large may just be. The more people we’re able to reach, the sooner these companions are reunited with their people or find their forever home. Thanks from the bottom of my pawprinted heart 🙂
