They are located in St Pauls, NC & were started by a mother & daughter in 2005. They got their first blind cat, Louie, when they were volunteering at their local shelter. I know full well that challenged animals can often be passed by. Even though, they are wonderful companions. They also had this understanding & wanted to create an organization for blind kitties. In 2011 they also started taking in FELV+ & FIV+ cats.
My husband & I had two sight impaired kitties. Phoenix (Nixie) whose eyes didn’t fully extend & Jake who had to have an eye removed when it became infected. Organizations that care for & promote animals who are often forgotten, hold a special place in my heart.
